A note on the service industry. When looking to pay for a service, ask your self this question: Do you really want to the lowest priced service provider? We understand that money doesn’t grow on trees and the motivation to save money where you can. We all do this. However, do you really want the cheapest haircut you can find? The cheapest massage? The cheapest auto-service? The cheapest lawyer? In the service industry, cheaper service means efficiency (doing less and doing it faster) and making money on volume (squeezing in as many customers as possible). Do you really want to have your haircut or massage be done efficiently or do you want it done well? Do you feel safe if your auto mechanic or lawyer are efficient or if they are giving your car or your case individual attention. In the service industry, the old adage – “You get what yo pay for.” – rings true. Food for thought.
The prices for veterinary clinics in Ontario are not fixed, set, or regulated. Veterinary Clinics are privately owned businesses that are free to set their prices as the market allows.
